I just purchased an L245 that has problems with the PTO not spinning when pressure on it and the 3pt won't go down. I have taken all the items off needed to pull apart the rear transmission. I pulled the filter screen and found it full of garbage (paint chips, metal fragments) must be years of accumulation. Now I want to separate the tractor but the IT shop manual doesn't give much clue for a newbie? Every thing blocked up, nuts out, How is the best way to get the halves to separate?

What is the best way to flush the internals?

The problem with the PTO seem to be the over running clutch since we can turn the pto backwards. I plant to remove and inspect. Thanks for your comments
